1. The project is located in Whitmore community in Hawaii, the United States. More than 93% of Hawaii's food depends on imports, and the food supply is worrying. Therefore, the design proposes to build a community around food to enhance the flexibility of the community. The community food center not only provides services for local food and gives local food rights, but also cultivates resilience through value-added supply chain and skilled labor force, so as to provide a dynamic public place for residents and tourists.

2. In terms of logistics, provide a food hub that meets the requirements of the food safety Modernization Act (FSMA), improve safety measures through the food system and optimize food safety.

3. In terms of site selection, the logistics space of the food center is integrated with the surrounding communities through a series of public spaces supporting multi-purpose. Whitmore Food Center complex not only provides processing and distribution support for small growers, but also provides additional needs for the community in terms of agricultural labor housing, business and technology incubation and cultural tourism, and provides a unique public environment for the community.

4. Whitmore and Wahiawa city center are connected through the community food center. Through investment in transportation and logistics, the interconnection and economic and public gap in the urban structure are solved, making Whitmore, which depends on cars, a multi-functional community suitable for walking and promoting the prosperity and development of the community.

5. Through the mixed use of functions and fine design, it creates an attractive experience for residents and tourists, and provides transportation, parking, shopping, leisure, entertainment and other functions through the way of "sharing Street View".

6. The food center complex facilities support strong community-based food production, but also provide the development of local based economic and cultural heritage, and provide a new public product for local food safety and localization.
